Following a wave of spammers who tried to publish on trendindeed.com, I decided to check it out. Looks like search interest has gone down considerably, perhaps because we now have more effective ways of protection against spam – like gmail- and maybe more importantly, legal action against major spammers. However, my personal experience is that the new wave of sharing on social media is creating information clutter, which may be the new form of spam. But in any case, the individual has more choice now in following / subscribing, and thus controlling the amount of info he/she receives.
